Spencer S. Lee
Spencer S. Lee, 69, is an Executive Vice President of Chemed Corporation and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its Roto-Rooter Management Company subsidiary. Mr. Lee began his career at Chemed in 1980 as an Assistant to the President. In 1981, he transferred to Chemed's Roto-Rooter subsidiary as Director of Development. In 1983, Mr. Lee moved into the field and became Assistant General Manager of Roto-Rooter's Boston division. He was promoted in 1984 to Vice President of Roto-Rooter's Mid-Atlantic Region, based in Baltimore. In 1989, he took on additional responsibility for the Northeast Region. In 1992, Mr. Lee moved back to Roto-Rooter headquarters, continuing as Vice President for the Northeast. In 1996, Mr. Lee was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations for Roto-Rooter Services Company, and in 1999, he was named to his current position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Roto-Rooter Management Company. The Board of Directors elected him to the additional post of Executive Vice President of Chemed in 2000. Mr. Lee holds a B.A. degree from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
